[Gate-users] the time for running gate

Hi all,
I am a novice of GATE. I tried it on PET simulation and I used a very
simple F-18 source of Rmax=5cm, halfz=4cm cylinder, with 10^7 Bq. That means
the activity concentration is about 1uCi/cc. However, this simulation took *10
days* to finish. For a real NEMA/IEC phantom, it has six spheres of about
50cc in all and a 10L background. Usually we would inject 1mCi into the
background, so that is 3.7*10^7Bq. So I can guess that it may need 30 days
to finish... I think it is impossible. Could anyone give me some advice
about how to decrease running time or if I mistook sth? I have added the
program I ran in the attachment. Thanks for help.
Sincerely,
Tingting
