Hi Jinxia,
I don't think cylindricalPET is made for that
Using the cylindrical PET system, when you attach a volume to rsector, the
pointer representing the volume is transmitted to the rsector, so when you
attach two volumes to rsector, only the second will be attached to.
An alternative to have 4 rsectors (if you don't use module and submodule) is
to define a volume representing the module to a quarter of your rsector and
repeat it four times, so you can have 4 rsectors except that their names are
module! But Im not sure about that
I never did it before!
Cheers,

Hi Susana,
I have tried ,but it failed too.Because all resctors come from the repeat of
one rsector,it is difficult to repeat a structure that I want.
I draw a picture for the structure. In the picture,a rectangle represents a
resctor. All the rectangles have same size.
Can you have any methods to realize it or any other suggestion ? Thank you
for your help!
Best wishes,

Hi Jinxia,
I have the same opinion as Weiqingyang
Maybe you can use the scanner system which can be designed in your own
geometries. I think will be more simple!
Try to do it,
, and Good luck!

Susana

Firstly, thank you very much for the answer! I am sorry I haven,t describe
the question clearly.
For DualPET,I have designed two planes before and the structure of the two
planes are same. Now I want to design a PET system with four planes.
The first plane: number of rsector 1, number of module 13*9,number of
crystal 8*8;
The second Plane : number of rsector 1, number of module 13*13,number of
crystal 8*8;
The third Plane is same as the first Plane. The fourth Plane is the same as
the second plane.
Hope your reply soon!
Best wishes!

Hi Jinxia,
As you can read in the User's Guide (pag. 51):
cylindricalPET is defined as a cylinder in the world, with a non zero inner
radius
- rsector (depth=1) is defined as a box, and repeated with a ring
repeater in cylindricalPET
- module (depth=2) is a box inside rsector. It is repeated by a
cubicarray repeater with no X
repetition (repeatNumberX = 1). This level is optional.
- submodule(depth=3) is a box inside module. It is repeated by a
cubicarray repeater with no X
repetition (repeatNumberX = 1). This level is optional.
- crystal (depth=4) is a box inside submodule. It is repeated by a
cubicarray repeater with no X
repetition (repeatNumberX = 1)
- layer (depth=5) is a (or several, in the case of the phoswich
system) radially arranged box(es)
inside crystal. Do not use a repeater for layers, but build them one by one
in your macro. layer
must be set as a sensible detector with the macro command: /attachCrystalSD.
You only can define one rsector level
What do you really want to define as your geometry?

Subject: [Gate-users] The design of CylindricalPET system with Rsectors of

Dear users:
I want to design a cylindrical PET system with four Rsectors .In this
system,the Rsectors have
different structures. The number of modules of theirs is not equal.I have
tried a few ways to do that ,
but all failed. Can someone tell me how to do that?
Thank you very much!
Best wishes!
