[Gate-users] How to configure GATE to use more than one processor

Dear Davi,

Geant4 and Gate are for the time being not able to start multiple  
threads in a single application. However, since Monte Carlo  
simulations are easily parallelized by splitting the job into several  
sub-jobs (with a subset of particles being simulated), this is not a  
real handicap.

The version 3.1.2 includes little helpers that do the splitting for  
you. That means, you prepare your .mac file as usual and the helper  
(named gjs) produces severeral mac files with different random seeds  
which can launch separately. Later you have little helpers that join  
the resulting files.

The exact description should be somewhere in the gate user manual.
