[Gate-users] /vis/drawVolume crashes Gate

Hello

I am trying to get started with Gate. I have
Ferora (fc7)

Gate 3.1.1
geant 4.8.1.p02
root 5.12/00g
clhep 2.0.3.1

Everything seems to install okay; I can run geant novice examples and 
the Gate PET benchmark.  When I try to use the "First step" code from 
section 1.3 of the Gate users guide (3.1.1) I get as far as 
/vis/drawVolume and everything falls over!

*** Break *** segmentation violation

I then get a stack trace which starts with 20 lines which say
/usr/bin/addr2line: "Gate": no such file

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong, or have an idea where to look, please?
