Dear Alan,
Technically, your question depends on what material of hole you want to
make...
In common, hole is made by air...so the radius means one of inscribed
circle...
Cheers,
MJ

Subject: [Gate-users] Hexagon(e) specification
When modelling a gamma camera collimator the first hole is specified:
/gate/collimator/daughters/name hole
/gate/collimator/daughters/insert hexagone
/gate/hole/geometry/setLength 6.0 cm
/gate/hole/geometry/setRadius .381 cm
(it's a HEGP collimator)
I think the radius is the radius of the circumscribed (rather than
the inscribed) circle; can anyone who knows confirm this (or correct
it), please?
With thanks
Alan
