Hi,
I am trying to install GATE 3.1.1. I have installed and checked all of the
required programs (see below for versions) and they are all fine. I ran
the gate_env.csh file (using all of the defaults), and it ran fine. When I
ran make I got:
> /bin/sh: xml2-config: command not found
> Compiling GateListMessenger.cc ...
> /bin/sh: xml2-config: command not found
> Compiling GateLocalBlurring.cc ...
> /bin/sh: xml2-config: command not found
> Compiling GateLocalBlurringMessenger.cc ...
> /bin/sh: xml2-config: command not found
> Compiling GateLocalEfficiency.cc ...
> /bin/sh: xml2-config: command not found
> Compiling GateLocalEfficiencyMessenger.cc ...
> /bin/sh: xml2-config: command not found
> Compiling GateMaterialDatabase.cc ...
> /bin/sh: xml2-config: command not found

This is just the end of the output, but essentially it is just the line
>Compiling GateMaterialDatabase.cc ...
>/bin/sh: xml2-config: command not found
over and over. Has anyone encountered this? I posted some specs below.
