Hello all,
I have a questions (or two) about the projection output in GATE. I am
simulating a 4 headed SPECT system and acquiring data using a (re-sized)
single slice of the brain phantom from the clermont-ferrand course. The
header has info such as:
!matrix size [1] := 32
!matrix size [2] := 32
!number format := unsigned integer
scaling factor (mm/pixel) [1] := +8.8000000e+00
scaling factor (mm/pixel) [2] := +8.8000000e+00
etc.
!number of slices := 1
slice thickness (pixels) := +11.2000000e+00
etc.
As far as I can tell, the projections look fine, and the ROOT ouptut
(plotting sourcePosX:sourcePosY) looks very good and as expected, however
when I reconstruct the data (on a HERMES workstation) it does not look so
good. Has anyone had similar problems - or could anyone suggest what I
might be doing wrong?
I have tried increasing the activity as I thought it might just be that I
don't have enough counts, however this doesn't seem to help.
In the macro I have positioned the source as:
/gate/source/voxel_brain/setPosition -140.8 -140.8 -49.28 mm
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kathy
