[Gate-users] DOI and probability of detection of a material

Hello,

I have two related questions:

1.Could anybody explain me how is modelled in GATE the depth of
interaction of a photon in a detector material?Or if it's a too general
question, could anybody tell me where (in the code or in the
documentation) can I find this model?

2.If the linear attenuation coefficient of the material is "mu0". Could
I say that the probability of detection of a gamma ray is:

 1-e^(-mu0 L)

Where L is the length intersection between the gamma ray direction and
the detector??
