Hi Frank,
Well, maybe it is a little bit to early to talk about this but I am planning to
distribute freely (in open source) a user-interface 3D image reconstruction
software implementing the 2D FBP, 3D MLEM and 3D OSEM methods (and maybe
mores...). This software will work in conjunction with the GATE simulator.
One will be able to convert the ASCII single or coincidence files generated by
GATE into an histogram format that can be reloaded by the image reconstruction
software. There will also be on my web site some GATE source code modeling
different PET cameras and also a program for generating precomputed system
matrices:

(note: This web site is under construction and you may need to decrease the text
size to read the page correctly... problem to fix)
The bad news is that I need to make the software more robust and add some
comments in the code before posting a first release... I hope it will be ready
at the beginning of March... maybe too late for you?
Best regards,
Jean-Daniel Leroux
