[Gate-users] Root problem

I'm running Gate on fedora core 6 as well.  I noticed the first
mentioned bug in root and fixed it by modifying the code in TProofDraw.h
as per the link you posted.

As for this new problem, I haven't seen it, but I suspect it may be an
ordering problem, did you recompile Gate after getting the root install
to work?

The order and version I used was:

clhep-2.0.2.2
root_v5.14.00f
geant4.8.1.p02
Gate_v3.1.1

It wasn't without difficulty, but I have it running perfectly now (does
the SPECT benchmark in 30 minutes on my quad opteron machine :) )

Dear GATE Users,

I faced a bug(?) due to the incompatibility of ROOT and FedoraCore6
Which Finally found just one text in the WEB giving the answer. The
problem arises during root installation
*(TProofDraw.h:226: error: parse error in template argument list)* and
the solution was mentioned here in this link:

Now I encountered a new problem when I ran my macro or any other
examples like benchmarkPET:

****** COMMAND NOT FOUND </gate/output/root/setFileName benchmarkPET>
*****
***** Command ignored ******
There was no problem during root installation and also the initial check
before the GATE run confirms ROOT is enabled:
*....*
*Checking your LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable...
 ==> OK: /root/root/lib is already in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH Use of ROOT
enabled ROOT real-time plotter enabled
....*

It would be highly appreciated if you can help me. I could not find any
helpful text in the WEB.
