hi john
you need to register to become a user of GATE. go to the website
http://opengatecollaboration.healthgrid.org/ and click on register. in a few
days or so, you'll receive the password to get into the registered users
area and from there, you can download the code as well as read all of the
documentation (including archives of the GATE user's mailing list).
installing GATE is not a simple "double click" process like software on
windows so i encourage you to read as much of the documentation on the
website as possible before you commence.
