That is very normal. Remember that the hit is defined by a step which
is mainly determined by defined interaction range in Geant4 (you can change
it). Only singles in GATE are associated with single particles.

Dear all,
   
  With my simulations in GATE, I find that the first few mother particles are the ones with maximum energy and interactions on the detector. In other words, there are more hits recorded (with larger number of rows on ASCII file) for the first few mother particles than the others. This happens no matter how far or near the source is placed and with nuclides - Tc99m and In111. Any ideas on this?
