The Centre for Particle Physics of Marseille (CPPM) is facing new
challenges in the application of particle detectors to biomedical
imaging. Our research programme aims at two objectives. The first
objective consists in assembling a small animal TEP/CT scanner based
on a combination between the ClearPET small animal TEP scanner
demonstrator developed at EPFL and the PIXSCAN micro-CT scanner
prototype under development at CPPM. The second objective is to
develop a new X/gamma ray detector module able to perform in a
magnetic field of more than 10 Tesla that will provide the necessary
building block for the integration of PET/SPECT/CT imaging systems at
the European Centre for Research in Medical Imaging (CERIMED)
currently under development in Marseille.

CPPM is seeking for two postdoc candidates. The candidates must have
received a PhD degree outside of France, and must be below 35 years
old by Dec., 31 2006. French candidates are not eligible for these
positions. For further information, please contact Pr. Christian
MOREL, or send directly your application, preferably by email,
including your CV and a brief statement of interest, not later than
Febr., 28 2006.

Kind regards,

Christian Morel
