[Gate-users] Job Offer in Madrid / A Computing Scientist or physicist

The Experimental High Energy Group of Universidad Autonoma de Madrid 
(UAM) is
composed by physicists and engineers who participate in two international
experiments of particle physics: ZEUS of the HERA accelerator (DESY) and
ATLAS of the future LHC collider (CERN). In the latter experiment the
management and analysis of the data, whose number and complexity has no
precedents, is performed in a distributed way along a world wide computing
network (GRID), being one of the sites at our lab in the UAM. For the system
management of our GRID site we need:

          A Computing Scientist or physicist

Profile of the Candidate:

      - LINUX at the level of system manager.
      - Knowledge of Perl language.
      - Experience using C++ language and of Linux clusters administration
        will be viewed favorably
      - Good knowledge of english and availability to travel abroad.

Tasks to carry out. - System administration of UAM Grid site. - Participate
in the developments of the Quattor tool for Automatic Installation and
Configuration of Linux clusters. - Tasks related with Atlas computing in the
Grid environment.

The annual gross salary will be 27000 euros. The contract includes full
social security benefits.
