Dear GATE Users,

The OpenGATE collaborators plan to organize a workshop for GATE users
during the next IEEE MIC conference to be held October 26-29 2005 in
Puerto Rico (http://www.nss-mic.org/2005/nssmain.asp).

This workshop will include:

1.Presentation of on-going and future developments in GATE
2.Presentation of research activities based on GATE by GATE users
3.Discussion between GATE users and OpenGATE members

To give a representative view of current research activities based on
GATE, about 6 contributions will be selected for oral presentation. If
you would like to present your research activities making use of GATE,
please submit an abstract describing the important features of your work
and the specific use of GATE for this research. Abstracts should be no
more than 300 words, with 2 figures at most. There is not predefined
layout for the abstract, but it should be sent as a PDF document.
Abstracts should be submitted to both the technical coordinator of
OpenGATE (Sebastien Jan at jan at shfj.cea.fr) and to the spokesperson of
the collaboration (Irène Buvat at buvat at imed.jussieu.fr) by August 31,
2005.

If you plan to attend the workshop, no matter whether you will have
submitted an abstract or not, please be kind enough to send an email to
both Sebastien Jan and Irene Buvat by July 31 2005, if at all possible,
so that we can have a rough idea of the number of attendees and organize
the logistics accordingly.

Detailed information about the time of the workshop, the agenda and the
location will be sent by September 15.

Please do not hesitate to contact Sebastien Jan (jan at shfj.cea.fr) or
Irene Buvat (buvat at imed.jussieu.fr) for any additional information and
questions.

Best regards,

Sebastien Jan and Irène Buvat
for the OpenGATE Collaboration
