Dear Farshid,

I did run GATE on windows before, using cygwin. The compilation of all the components (Geant4, Gate, ROOT, CLHEP) was smooth. However, I do not recommend running it in the cygwin environment; I would say it is at least 3 times slower than running it on RedHat. Good luck.

I do not have any experience personally using GATE under cygwin. But I know a few gate users have gained experience with it.

Then, the way to collect information about your problem is to post your question on the gate-users mailing list. You will certainly get an answer within a very reasonable time.
