Dear Mr. Farshid Salehzahi ,
I forward you the announcement of the next Geant4 Conference where you can
follow several tutorials for Geant4 beginners.
Best regards,

Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to Bordeaux, France to attend the International
Geant4 <http://cern.ch/geant4> 2005 Conference, from November 3rd till
November 10th, 2005. This is the 10th in the series of International Geant4
meetings, and includes an extended user plenary session of over two days. It
is also the second organized in France (the Laboratoire de l'Accélérateur
Linéaire in Orsay - France hosted in October 2000). This year, the event
will be hosted by the Centre d'Etudes Nucléaires de Bordeaux-Gradignan
<http://www.cenbg.in2p3.fr> , a CNRS <http://www.cnrs.fr> /IN2P3
<http://www.in2p3.fr> - Bordeaux 1 University <http://www.u-bordeaux1.fr/>
laboratory, in collaboration with DAPNIA <http://www-dapnia.cea.fr/> (CEA
<http://www.cea.fr> ) and will give an up-to-date report on the continuous
developments and various applications of the Monte Carlo simulation toolkit
Geant4 <http://cern.ch/geant4> provided by the Geant4 collaboration.
Originally developed for the simulation of large scale particle physics
experiments, the field of applications of Geant4 <http://cern.ch/geant4> is
growing fast worldwide especially at the physics-medicine-biology frontier.
For the first time in France, this year's conference will give the
opportunity to users to present their own applications in this growing and
demanding domain, and to learn the Geant4 toolkit through a dedicated short
course.
The conference will be divided into three parts :
* a 2.5 day user plenary session dedicated to Geant4 simulations with a
strong interest at the physics-medicine-biology frontier. In particular, the
following topics will be addressed:
- review of simulation applications for medicine
- validation of Geant4 models for medical physics
- simulation of radiotherapy and irradiation setups (beams, heads, ...)
- treatment planning in radiotherapy
- dosimetry
- parallelisation
- imaging techniques (GATE, PET, ...)
- data handling (DICOM)
- related GRID developments and applications
- the Geant4 DNA project and related Monte Carlo tools
Users will also have the opportunity to present their applications through
posters.
* a 1 day new-user short course presenting Geant4 latest version to new
comers (providing the attendees with a CD-ROM).
* The traditional 4-day Geant4 collaboration workshop accessible by
invitation. It will be mainly addressed to Geant4 developers and will cover
toolkit and collaboration matters.
The conference web site is available at the following address :
http://geant4.in2p3.fr/2005. Registration are open.

Objet : [gate-users] Training courses on GEANT4, GATE ? Training Centres?
Dear All,
I am looking for a training course on GATE, GEANT4 locally. I appreciate if
any one can have some inputs into this.
Alternatively, we may consider European training centres.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Best Regards
