Just a remark. I'm not really involved in the GATE project, but STIR is
similar.
This is a collaborative project, open source, free, etc. If nobody
answers your questions, it is because they probably do not know the
answer, or would have to invest too much time in finding out, or indeed
do not feel like answering today.
That's the way it is. If you want more, maybe you could negotiate a
support contract with somebody.
On the Discovery ST. You're probably the first one to try this, so
you'll have trouble, difficulties and pain. But maybe you can then
publish your results first...
Sadek and me have pretty much described what the situation is with the
native GE format. It is not the same as ECAT and so you cannot stick it
in an ECAT file. If that matters for your similation depends on what you
want to do. If you want to reproduce what an acquisition on a GE scanner
would do, where the data is processed with GE software, you have to take
the route that Sadek suggested. If not, all options are open.
Please keep us all informed about any issues and progress!
