[gate-users] DISCOVERY ST using ECAT SYSTEM

GReetings GATEERs,
Im faced with another problem... Im modeling the DISCOVERY ST as some of
you already know. I am more interested in reconstructing the scan images
using whatever means available now.  ( an Hermes station will be installed
here in a few weeks.)

>From the discussions with Kris and Sadek, it seems it is not possible at
all to use STIR to reconstruct the images at the moment.

I have designed the scanner with no overlaps, but the problem is in get
the output set properly, I intend to use ecat7 ouput but I don't know the
other parameters for the discovery ST. by other parameters I mean , span ,
mashing and maxringdiff. Can I even use this ecat SYSTEM for the Discovery
ST , given that its not part to th ECAT scanner family ?
If not, suppose I design an arbitrary scanner and Im still interested in
sinogram output, how can I achieve this ?

I'll be greatful if someone clarifies this for me.

the reason I'm asking now is that ,
