[gate-users] duration of simulations

Greetings again,

I have desinged the GE DISCOVERY scanner using the ecat system and I am
running a simulation which is just a modification of Jan S.  Voxelized
Phantom macro, but with my scanner disgn. I submitted the job to the
cluster but before that I had to specify the wall time requested . i.e
duration for the simulation. this means that somehow I have to know the
length of a simulation in advance ?
Is it possible to guess somehow the lenght of a simulation using the time
slices ?

I took a wild guess for my simulation which was two frames of 1s each and
I set the wall time to 24 hours , but its 20 hours now and its still
running , the cluster nodes are 2Ghz each.

can someone shed some light on this ?
