Hello there
Just in case anyone has a simillar problem like I had yesterday with GATE
on the cluster ..

The reason for the error was that root was installed in an afs partition
that could not be accessed without a keberos ticket. ,
Solution, moving ROOT to the /kfs/ partition, then everything ran
smoothly. PET benchmark took about 7H:45 minutes.

I have another pertinent quesion concerning the Gantry movement and time
slices.
In the case of the benchmarkPET, after two minutes , the gantry has
rotated for 22.5 degs.  The geometry is updated and the simulation
continues in the next time slice.

question : suppose I split it into two simulations as such

job 1 : slice 120 s
        start 0
        stop  120 s

job2 :  slice 120s
        star 120 s
        stop 240 s
(random numbers and output files names have  all been taken care of !)

In the execution,I want to think that it will be problematic since the
second slice should only start with an initial geometry equal to the
geometry at the end of the 1st run.

In the event that the above splitting is wrong what would the GATE
developpers suggest ? I am just interested in splitting this simulation
and running on different nodes on the cluster.
