Dear Muhammad,

In the first screenshot (ccmake overview) I see that ECAT and ITK are actually still switched on, but I'll assume that this is a screenshot from before switching them off.

The second screenshot (build crash) shows a very unusual error that makes me suspect that something is wrong on your system that has nothing to do with Gate or Geant4. The "/snap" directory is part of an automatic backup system that is popular in the recent
linux distributions, and the subdirectories under /snap should really only be used by that backup system, not by anything else, because the paths will continuously change.

Two things you can check:

1) Is your disk full? Run for instance "df -h ." in the build directory to investigate that.

2) Do any of the *PATH variables in your shell setup contain "/snap" directories? Type for instance "printenv | grep PATH" in the shell in which you try to build Gate. Another useful command in this particular case is "type cmake". The answer should point
to a cmake executable in either a system directory (e.g. /usr/bin/cmake) or, less likely, in your home directory (if you built & installed cmake from source, for some reason, which should not be necessary at all). If you (or somebody who was trying to help
you) did something to your shell environment (edit the .bash* files in your home directory) which added a /snap subdirectory to the PATH environment variable (or to any other *PATH variable), then please get rid of that hack and start over from scratch.

I hope that this answer is somehow helpful. I am not very optimistic though, because the error in that second screenshot is indeed very strange. The real problem may have completely different causes than the ones I have tried to sketch in this mail.

Good luck,

I'm following this link to install GATE v8.2 on Geant4:

In the ccmake, I've turned OFF the ECAT and ITK, while the rest of settings are same as in this picture (see attachment)

When I enter the 'make' command, after 43% of execution, an error occurs regarding cmake (see attachment)

Kindly look into this and let me know, I'm stuck.
