Dear Suhwan Kim,

Please also adapt the Materials.xml file to set the scintillation properties of your crystal such as light output .
https://opengate.readthedocs.io/en/latest/generating_and_tracking_optical_photons.html#defining-material-properties

<material name="LSO">
    <propertiestable>
      <property name="SCINTILLATIONYIELD" value="26000" unit="1/MeV"/>

Best,
Mariele

Dear users,
This is a kind reminder for all of you wanting to be trained with Python for GATE output analysis :)
The training will be organised remotely along 3 days, find information below.

Best regards

Lydia

Dear GATE users,

The next training dedicated to "Python data analysis for GATE simulations » will be organised REMOTELY during 3 days (max 7 hours/day, CET) from 9 to 11 of March.
To register please visit this web page:https://cnrsformation.cnrs.fr/python-data-analysis-for-gate-simulations <https://cnrsformation.cnrs.fr/python-data-analysis-for-gate-simulations>

The cost of the training is 850€.
The training will be organised on Microsoft Teams. Users will use a remote virtual machine for exercices and only need to be equipped with a computer and the network :)

For any questions regarding this training, contact me by email.

I wish you all the best for 2021 :)

Best regards,

Lydia

Dear GATE users

I want to write a new crystal to the Materials file.
The name of the crystal is Gd3Al2Ga3O12 (GAGG).
--------------------
crystal name : GAGG
density : 6.63
wave length : 520
light output : 56,000
--------------------
So I wrote the following in the GateMaterials.db file.
I simulated with GAGG crystal. However, the count number is too small. The sensitivity is also too low.
Am I wrong?

I need your help.
Thank you.

suhwan kim.
