[Gate-users] Percent depth dose anomaly

Hi James,

I'm not the expert on that, but as an intuitive suggestion, since the two codes give the same results, it seems that there is a mismatch between the simulated and the experimental X-ray spectra. Did you check your X-ray spectrum against the experimental one?

Subject: [Gate-users] Percent depth dose anomaly

Hi
I have found something strange and hope you may be able to help. I have a phase space for a position below the linac head and I have used this as the source for a phantom dose measurement in PRIMO (PENELOPE variant) to get a depth dose which matches our water tank data. But when I use this in Gate (simple geometry, 1m air and 40 cm water) I get a much larger depth dose, dmax is the same though. I even get the same results using penEasy (another PENELOPE variant).I would be very grateful for any ideas.
