Dear Gaters,
When I simulated with carbon pencil beam,I find that it's OK in GATE_v7.1 version, but is error in GATE_v6.2. I wonder whether the definition of carbon pencil beam in Gate_v6.2 is not available? Here is my definition of carbon pencil beam in GATE_v7.1:
# SOURCE PBS
/gate/source/addSource C12 PencilBeam

#particle type
/gate/source/C12/setParticleType GenericIon
/gate/source/C12/setIonProperties 6 12 6 0

#energy spectrum
/gate/source/C12/setEnergy 3600 MeV
/gate/source/C12/setSigmaEnergy 36 MeV

#position
/gate/source/C12/setPosition 0 0 -1.25 m

# spot size
/gate/source/C12/setSigmaX 2.5 mm
/gate/source/C12/setSigmaY 2.5 mm

#divergence
/gate/source/C12/setSigmaTheta 3 mrad
/gate/source/C12/setSigmaPhi 3 mrad

#emittance
/gate/source/C12/setEllipseXThetaEmittance 12 mm*mrad
/gate/source/C12/setEllipseYPhiEmittance 12 mm*mrad

#positive-> converging beam; negative diverging beam
/gate/source/C12/setEllipseXThetaRotationNorm positive
/gate/source/C12/setEllipseYPhiRotationNorm positive

#beam direction rotation
#/gate/source/C12/setRotationAxis 1 0 0
#/gate/source/C12/setRotationAngle 180 deg

If I simulate carbon pencil beam in GATE-v6.2,how can I define it?Whether can I use surface source or other type source to replace it?If it's OK,how can I define it?

Best regards,
Zhang Hui
