[Gate-users] Sinogram in Gate

Hi Bassim!

If you used the ECAT system when building your scanner in Gate (see: http://wiki.opengatecollaboration.org/index.php/Users_Guide_V6.1:Defining_a_system#Ecat ), then you can generate sinogram output with Gate (see: http://wiki.opengatecollaboration.org/index.php/Users_Guide_V6.1:Data_output#Sinogram_output )

If you did not use the ECAT system, then you will need to write code to bin your coincidence events into sinograms yourself.

Some people have written such code before for certain scanner models. If the choice of the PET scanner does not matter to you, then I'd suggest looking for a scanner model in Gate for which there is a sinogram binning code available.

I hope this helps!

Marc

> I am a new user in Gate. I am using now the vGate version 6.1 and I have already simulated a PET system. I got a root file as output after finishing my simulation. I want now to generate a Sinogram from the created root file in order to use it in STIR software for the PET image reconstruction. Can anyone tell how I can overcome this issue in Gate. I would be appreciate for your replay. I would be happy for hits and replay.
