[Gate-users] GATE v.5 ROOT output for SPECT

Dear Gate-Users,

In GATE v.5.0.0_p01, the normal ROOT output under the "Singles" branch
has the numbers and volnames of Compton and Rayleigh scatter events in
each PhantomSD and CrystalSD (comptonPhantom, comptonCrystal,
RayleighPhantom, RayleighCrystal, etc).

This output works as expected when I specify the source using:
/gate/source/NAME/gps/particle gamma
/gate/source/NAME/gps/energy 159. keV

but when I specify the source as:
/gate/source/NAME/gps/particle ion
/gate/source/NAME/gps/ion 53 123 0 0

the same scatter-related leaves in the output ROOT file have all events
in the zero bin, and no scatter information seems to be saved.

The User's Guide does not mention any dependency of the ROOT output on
the type of source. Is this a known issue? Is there any way to obtain
scatter information when using gps/particle ion?

Thanks,
Jon
