[Gate-users] Difference of compton scattering in phantom

Dear Gate users

 

I have simulated the microPET R4 scanner and NEMA like rat phantom (Fig 1)

F-18 source (70 MBq) was simulated for the calculation of scatter component
in the phantom.

Fig 2 (a) was simulated using GATE 3.0 and Fig 2 (b) was simulated using
Gate 4.0

I found that there was some difference in the results using GATE 4.0.

Although activity was the same, entires was quite different (gate 3.0: 958,
gate 4.0: 705222)

 

Simulation code was the same in both GATE code.

Why this difference was occurred?
