[Gate-users] AW: Influence of the system shape?

According to the response of Yu Chen I should point out that the crystal geometry did not change! That means that the crystal size was the same and also the gap between the crystals and the distance of the source to the crystals. The only difference between the calculations was the ambient system – that means the use of the system scanner with the shape “ring” or the system scanner with the shape “box” (and both as a test with different dimensions). But this change did not result in a change of the crystal geometry.

Why do you expect the same effect for different geometries?

It seems that the effect you talked about here is mainly scattering if
your crystal size is not very small.

One can judge it only if you put detailed information here, e.g.,
geometry setup: crystal size (xyz), gap between crystals, distance of source to crystal etc
energy distribution for different crystals in different setups etc.
