Dear GATE users,

I am using:

Fedora core 3
gcc 3.4
geant4.8.1.p01
clhep 1.9.2.2
gate_v3.0.0

I have a problem similar to the one Nicolas Sakellios had in an e-mail to this
list on March 30, 2005. I’ve just installed the Ecat7 library using the file
ecat.tar.gz from the site of GATE Collaboration. I followed the installation
instructions and after sourcing I got the message:
Use of ECAT7 data output enabled

However, if I type the command
/gate/output/describe

I get:

Number of output modules inserted: 5
Description of the single modules:

Output module: ‘fastanalysis’

Output module: ‘analysis’

Output module: ‘digi’

Output module: ‘ascii’

Output module: ‘root’

And when I run the simulation example PET_Ecat_System.mac the end of the screen
output is:

Output module: 'ecat7'
 >> Job: write a set of 2D sinograms into an Ecat7
output file
 >> Is enabled ? Yes
 >> File name: yourSinogram.S
 >> Attached to system: systems/ecat

And the simulation crashed. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Best regards,
