"Neutron" is the right name to use.
May be it just come from the fact that you don't have any primary carbons to get some secondary neutrons in your detector.
As it works with a neutron beam....it seems to me that it's likely something like that.

Dear Gate developers,

I want to know the dose contribution of secondary neutron in my carbon beam simulation.
So I use Filter to select neutron as the following lines:

......
/gate/actor/[Actor Name]/addFilter particleFilter
/gate/actor/[Actor Name]/particleFilter/addParticle neutron
......

The result is zero.Nothing.
I can't obtain the dose of secondary neutron.
But if the source is neutron beam, the dose of neutron beam can be obtained in simulation.

Why?
What's the [particle name] of neutron in Gate?
Cheers,
