The values in a dicom file are calculated using an intercept and a slope (<a href="http://www.kitware.com/blog/home/post/754" target="_blank">http://www.kitware.com/blog/home/post/754</a>). I don't know whether these are used in Gate or that Gate uses the stored values directly without adjustments. You can simply try this or check the source code for this.<br>
Eventually these values will be converted using the command interfileReader/rangeTranslator/readTable, so in the end, the origin of the values does not matter too much since you'll be converting them to an activity range anyhow.<br>

If you can't find the specific answer to your question regarding voxelized sources, I recommend working through the documentation and tutorials first. If it cant be found in there or the mailing list, your best bet is looking in the source code.<br>
