<div dir="ltr">Hello Erik,<div><br></div><div>I never used magnetic field in Gate, but it seems that some macros exist to define a global field (/gate/geometry/setMagField). </div><div><br></div><div>If it does not fit your need, you will need to create specific classes in Gate that Geant4 concepts (<a href="http://geant4.web.cern.ch/geant4/G4UsersDocuments/UsersGuides/ForApplicationDeveloper/html/Detector/electroMagneticField.html">http://geant4.web.cern.ch/geant4/G4UsersDocuments/UsersGuides/ForApplicationDeveloper/html/Detector/electroMagneticField.html</a>). It should not be too difficult. Just think to start from the last version of the Gate source code in the git repository, and start by creating a new branch. </div><div><br></div><div>(To my knowledge, no current plan to implement magnetic field attached to a specific volume in Gate)</div><div><br></div><div>Sincerely, </div><div>David</div></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br><div class="gmail_quote">On Fri, Mar 6, 2015 at 1:56 PM, Erik Almhagen <span dir="ltr"><<a href="mailto:ealmhagen@gmail.com" target="_blank">ealmhagen@gmail.com</a>></span> wrote:<br><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr">Hello<br><br>I am a new GATE user, predominantly interested in its radiotherapy applications.
