everyone,
<br>
<br>
I encountered this bug too.
<br>
Actually, even the main-cpu.mac won't work out-of-the-box, because
the
<br>
Gate[Geometry|Source]VoxelInterfileReader::ReadData function
assumes that the
<br>
binary data has the extension ".i33" regardless of the "name of
data file" row
<br>
in the .hdr file.
<br>
This can easily circumvent by renaming 'thorax_phantom.bin' to
<br>
'throrax_phantom.i33' (or alternatively, not overwriting the
m_dataFileName
<br>
variable with a hardcoded one).
<br>
<br>
A more serious issue is that the GPU version does not seem to
respect the
<br>
/gate/source/srcvoxel/setPosition command (and the voxel size
information from
<br>
the interfile header), so the phantom is out of the FOV.
<br>
See the attached plot where red (CPU) and blue (GPU) dots
represent the source
<br>
positions from Singles.dat files.
<br>
<br>
cheers,
<br>
Gergely

*Objet :* [Gate-users] GATE 7.0 GPU PET example; incomplete
phantom?
<br>
<br>
Hi everyone,
<br>
<br>
I successfully installed GATE 7.0 and the Nvidia CUDA tools
yesterday, and am
<br>
eager to try out one of the GPU examples on my workstation.
However, when I
<br>
attempt to run the PET example it looks like there may be a
problem with the
<br>
thorax_phantom.bin that was downloaded during the installation.
The exact error
<br>
message is:
<br>
<br>
*** G4Exception : GeomSolids0002
<br>
<br>
issued by : G4Box::G4Box()
<br>
<br>
Dimensions too small for Solid: ncat_solid!
<br>
<br>
hX, hY, hZ = 0, 0, 0
<br>
<br>
Has anyone else run into this? is there a different phantom file
that I should
<br>
be using? The MD5 hash on the file seems to match with the
<br>
thorax_phantom.bin.md5 file that was provided in the example
folder.
<br>
<br>
Thanks for your time,
<br>
<br>
-Bryan
