I'm
trying to simulate a CT system using vGATE. I'm using the sample code
found in examples/examples_CT/classic folder to do the same.<br>
<br>For me, the simulation time is a concern. I have reduced the
acquisition time from 90 seconds per projection to 9 seconds. The image
quality has degraded considerably with this switch. The simulation now
takes about two minutes per projection compared to half an hour
previously. <br>
<br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">I'm
simultaneously monitoring my system usage during the run. Even though
I've alloted 24 GB memory for the virtual system, the system usage never goes
beyond 3 GB.<br>
