<div dir="ltr">Hello,<div><br></div><div>In my simulation, I simulate plastic scintillators. Beam of gamma particles with energy 511 keV is directed into plastic scintillator.</div><div>I would like to have a situation, where all of gamma particles that attach the scintillator, cause the scintillation process and production of optical photons. </div>
<div>In order to do it, I would like to modify cross section of Compton effect.</div><div><br></div><div>In help of GATE I found something like that: </div><div><br></div><div><div>Command /gate/physics/processes/Compton/activateCSEnhancement</div>
<div>Guidance :</div><div>Activate cross-section enhancement</div><div><br></div><div>Parameter : Particle</div><div> Parameter type : s</div><div> Omittable : False</div><div><br></div><div>Parameter : factor</div>
<div> Parameter type : d</div><div> Omittable : False</div></div><div><br></div><div>This command is not described in wiki of GATE. How should it be used?</div><div><br></div><div>For example, if I would like to increase the Compton effect by a factor 10, should I write:</div>
<div><br></div><div>/gate/physics/processes/Compton/activateCSEnhancement Gamma 10 <br></div><div><br></div><div>? </div><div><br></div><div>Best regards,</div><div>Paweł Kowalski,</div><div>Świerk Computing Centre</div>
