The problem is that the primary particle are randomly put in a beam spot and therefore it is not possible to score the dose distribution as a function of time, unless one chooses to simulate spot by spot which is very time consuming. I was wondering whether you have a solution for this. I simulated once two different spots in one filed and another time two fields each containing one spot. But in none of the cases the beam is delivered per spot.</span><br>
</p></div></blockquote><div><br></div><div>yes, it was chosen to randomly pick a spot : it allows to stop the simulation at any time without bias. It is very convenient. However, you are right, if you are interested in spot by spot dose, it cannot be done that way. </div>
<div><br></div><div>the solution is to make some modification to the code of GateSourceTPSPencilBeam.cc. Probably in the GenerateVertex function. You also need to code a way to determine how many proton you want by spot. </div>

For that you need both the TrackID and the EventID. Those both information are not included in the 6.2 version, but are in the development version (will be available soon).</div>
