Hence, if you are in a</div> <div>specific production, but want to switch to Snow Leopard for whatever reason,</div> <div>you can easily do so and still run you GATE. I checked it with the benchmarkPET.</div> <div><br> </div> <div>2) In case you have to re-compile Gate, like is required for new developments,</div> <div>you have to re-compile everything from the beginning, since Snow Leopard</div> <div>is a full 64-bit operating system and you run into the situation of conflicting</div> <div>architecture with different libraries. But it is no problem. Simply run through</div> <div>the whole procedure as usual: CLHEP, GEANT4, ROOT, LMF, GATE.</div> <div><br> </div> <div>Note:<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>for root: use  ./configure macosx64 to make sure you get the right</div> <div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>architecture. I used Root version 5.24.</div> <div><br> </div> <div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>lmf_3.0: I succeeded to re-compile the lmf-modules and GATE</div> <div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>(i.e.: the benchmarkPET, which uses the lmf_3.0) runs, but</div> <div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>the file remains empty. Knowing, that the lmf-library heavily</div> <div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>relies on the 32-bit structure, this is no suprise.
