Hi Karol,
No I have not experienced anything like that before. When you say plain text, do you mean dose values are being written in ascii or is that garbage, unrelated text ? Is the text in the binary file or on the screen ? How big is your phantom in terms of voxels ?
Thank you for your reply. I have done everything that you described. The problem is that sometimes the output comes in the correct format and sometimes as plain text. This happens even if I do two consecutive runs without changing anything. Have you ever experienced this before?

Thank you for your help,

The output file is in binary format (4 bytes floats) with the dose in cGy. Did you use the attachVoxelPhantomSD command (and not attachPhantomSD) ? Did you add an ouput module to collect dose ?

/gate/.../attachVoxelPhantomSD
/gate/... /addOutput yourOutputModuleName

Then you have the option of setting the file name and saving the uncertainty file as well:

/gate/output/yourOutputModuleName /setFileName yourFileName
/gate/output/yourOutputModuleName /saveUncertainty [true|false]

If you used the right commands, did you look for any error message ? The voxellized phantom is described in the User’s Guide (pp.84-87).

When I try to collect dose deposited in a voxellized phantom, the output file I obtain is in Plain Text format and therefore I cannot do any analysis on it. Has anyone had a similar problem? I would greatly appreciate some help if someone knows why this is happening.
Thanks in advance,
