<DIV>Dear all,</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I install gate_v2.2.0 executable in my working directory. For this I had to modify the env_gate.csh file with the line in <STRONG>BOLD</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV>...</DIV>
<DIV><STRONG>G4WORKDIR set to '.'</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV>G4BIN set to '$G4WORKDIR/bin'</DIV>
<DIV>G4TMP set to '$G4WORKDIR/tmp'</DIV>
<DIV>.....</DIV>
<DIV>to </DIV>
<DIV>
<DIV>.....</DIV>
<DIV><STRONG>G4WORKDIR set to '/home/sparker'</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV>G4BIN set to '$G4WORKDIR/bin'</DIV>
<DIV>G4TMP set to '$G4WORKDIR/tmp'</DIV></DIV>
<DIV>...</DIV>
<DIV>Now when I install it once with </DIV>
<DIV>make and </DIV>
<DIV>make install [under gate directory]</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>the executable is properly set and I am able to run Gate to get the PreInit> prompt. At this point I did check that the libGate.so file was saved in the G4TMP directory.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>If I try and only source geant4.7.0.p01(after Configure) and gate_v2.2.0 env files from the shell script (after a few hours) and try running Gate, I get the following error:</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><EM>Gate: could not open libGate.so shared library: file or directory does not exist</EM></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Now when I check my G4TMP directory, the file libGate.so does not exist! Hence this means I need to run make and make install everytime this happens. Can anyone think of why this might happen?</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Regards,</DIV>
<DIV>Sweta</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
